Set of two Haagse School Lounge Chairs by Hendrik Wouda for Pander, 1924
Magnificent pair of Art Deco Haagse School lounge chairs. Design by Hendrik Wouda for H. Pander & Zonen. Striking Dutch design from the 1920s. Solid oak with black lacquered armrests. Re-upholstered with cotton fabric. Marked with original manufacturers metal tag and brand mark. In very good condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
This set, designed by Wouda for Pander, are in the collections of the Rijks Museum Amsterdam and the Centraal museum Utrecht.
